Conferences

Welfare Reform Two Years Later

Keynote Speaker: Douglas J. Besharov

Thursday, July 30, 1998
1:00 PM - 5:00 PM (Eastern Time)

This satellite conference is a training session for HUD employees and will be broadcast by HUD for their regional offices across the nation. The conference is also viewable by anyone with the proper satellite download capacity. As a courtesy, we have sent the satellite coordinates to all of the sites that previously aired Welfare Reform Academy broadcasts. However, as this is not a Welform Reform Academy sponsored event, we will not be maintaining state-by-state site listings on our webpage. If you have viewed other Welform Reform Academy broadcasts, and wish to obtain information on viewing locations, please contact the site you attended previously to see whether it will carry the July 30 broadcast. If you have never seen a Welfare Reform Academy broadcast or if the site you previously used does not plan to carry it, please call Jeannette Miller at (202) 862-4879 for possible site locations.

Please note, however, that unlike previous Welfare Reform Academy satellite broadcasts, only HUD employees will be able to ask questions of the panelists. (The general public will not have the opportunity to send in questions.)
