Sally L. Satel, M.D.

Sally Satel is a practicing psychiatrist and lecturer at Yale University School of Medicine. She is staff psychiatrist at the Oasis Clinic in Washington, D.C. Her research on drug courts is supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and she has written extensively about drug treatment.

In addition to publishing widely in medical journals, Dr. Satel's articles have appeared in The New Republic, City Journal (Manhattan Institute), The Los Angeles Times, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, SLATE, The Public Interest, and The Women's Quarterly. Of particular interest are the problems of politicized science and intrusions of political correctness into medicine and research.

From 1993-1994, Dr. Satel was a Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Fellow and served on the staff of the Senate Labor and Human Resources Committee under then-ranking Senator Nancy Kassebaum (R-KS).
